Quiana Burns was named the executive broadcast producer of “Weekend Good Morning America” in May 2020. In her role, she oversees the weekend morning news broadcast anchored by Dan Harris, Whit Johnson and Eva Pilgrim. Season to date, “Good Morning America Saturday” is ranking as the No. 1 Saturday morning newscast in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the 9th consecutive year and “Good Morning America Sunday” is leading NBC’s “Sunday Today” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the 8th season in a row. Quiana returned to ABC News from MSNBC, where she held multiple roles including, executive producer of “MSNBC Live with Ali Velshi” and co-lead of the Black Employee Network for the News Divisions of both MSNBC and NBC News. In addition, she was the executive producer of “MSNBC Live with Tamron Hall” and helped launch “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell.” During her previous role at ABC News, Quiana was Robin Roberts’ anchor producer. Burns is an Emmy award-winning producer who has reported on every major election and news story since the 9/11 terror attacks, including Hurricane Katrina, the first network interview with newly- inaugurated President Barack Obama, the Oscars, the 2010 World Cup in South Africa attended by Nelson Mandela, unrest in Ferguson, the 2020 Presidential Public Education Forum and the racial reckoning in America after the killing of George Floyd.
