Sharif Durhams

Sharif Durhams is the managing editor of The News & Observer and The Herald-Sun in North Carolina, overseeing a newsroom with 60 editors, reporters and visual journalists. He serves as president of NLGJA, which works to foster fair and accurate coverage of diverse communities. He has overseen award-winning audience teams at The Washington Post and CNN Digital and was the first social media editor at at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Durhams is a lifetime NABJ member.
