Steve Monte

Steve Monte is a speaker, published author, and independent healthcare consultant. In addition, he is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Southern California, where he teaches in one of the nation’s largest and best-rated graduate programs for behavioral health professionals. Prior to his current work, Steve spent 11 years in the Silicon Valley, where he worked in the Santa Clara Valley Health and Hospital System. As a manager and director within that system, he launched 5 new programs in 10 years. Each combined healthcare and technology elements to provide innovative care for clients while using data analytics to continuously improve the quality of care. One widely-heralded project involved raising $18M from investors including Google.org and resulted in White House press coverage. He’s trained in Seeking Safety and Trauma-Focused CBT. In addition, he’s provided clinical supervision and co-authored a training manual for behavioral health staff in Santa Clara County. In 2004, Steve received his Master’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University, with a focus on non-profit management and organizational leadership. Steve is actively licensed as a behavioral health provider in Indiana and California. He currently lives in Indianapolis, IN.
