Tené Croom, President of Tené Croom Communications, is a veteran broadcast journalist and PR executive. People living across the pond have heard Tené on BBC London radio shows discussing America’s hot-button urban issues. She started in radio in 1978 at WJBE-AM, owned by James Brown, the “Godfather of Soul.” For 17 years, she was Director of News at American Urban Radio Networks. Also, she was former Director of Media Relations and Engagement for The Africa Channel. The award-winning journalist is on the boards of the Pennsylvania State Conference NAACP, Pittsburgh NAACP, Pittsburgh Black Media Federation, and August Wilson Center’s Community Engagement Advisory Council.
