Tiffany Ruvalcaba
Associate Director of eLearning
California Primary Care Association (CPCA)
Tiffany Ruvalcaba, Associate Director of eLearning joined the California Primary Care Association (CPCA) in 2012 to support their web-based training program. Over the course of the past 9 years, she grew CPCA’s web-based training program more than 250% in audience reach, number of quality training programs, and revenue, helping the association to diversify revenue streams outside of grants and membership dues. Tiffany was instrumental in adopting a new webinar platform and built processes and identified best practices that has led CPCA to become a model in the industry. In 2014, she extended the web-based training program to include video content and production. Securing grant funding she built a video studio in-house, launched CPCA’s YouTube channel, and began producing and editing OnDemand content. Working in the healthcare training sector during a global pandemic, these programs laid important infrastructure to expand CPCA’s training team, adopt an LMS platform and new project management tools, and offer its members a peer community portal for sharing and networking. Since COVID, CPCA made the decision to become a permanently remote workplace and many of the tools and programs adopted over the last 9 years have been instrumental in making this possible, as well as allowing CPCA to easily pivot in-person conferences and programs to fully virtual events. Tiffany is excited for future possibilities and challenges that moving toward hybrid events and workspaces brings as she works from home with her husband, raising 4 kids, 2 dogs, and enjoys painting during rare moments of unscheduled, uninterrupted time.
