Tracy Templin, executive director of strategy and operations, oversees the undergraduate college’s data analytics team, as well as grant development, budgeting and strategic initiatives for the college. Tracy began her career teaching middle school in Baltimore, Maryland. As a result of this experience, she went on to study social and economic development within the context of social justice in order to gain a deeper understanding of the social, economic, and political factors contributing to the communities and educational system in urban communities. Prior to NLU, Tracy worked at Chicago Public Schools, where she held various roles in data analysis, strategic planning, and program management. Tracy has also worked in higher education, serving as the assistant director for admissions and recruitment for the Brown School at Washington University.

She holds a master of arts in teaching from Johns Hopkins University and master of social work from Washington University in St. Louis, and a bachelor of arts from DePaul University, where she majored in sociology and English.
