Yanick Rice Lamb is an award-winning journalist, author and journalism professor at Howard University. Previously, she was editor-in-chief of BET Weekend and Heart & Soul, and an editor at The New York Times, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Child, and ESSENCE. She is also co-founder of FierceforBlackWomen.com and a Rosalynn Carter Mental Health Journalism Fellow. The Center for Public Integrity and Belt Magazine are currently running her acclaimed series on the health impact of the rubber industry through the Fund for Investigative Journalism. She also wrote “Stuck in the Hospital” through the Association of Health Care Journalists and the Commonwealth Fund.
