Maxine Crooks

Maxine Crooks is the vice president of Talent development for ABC
Owned Television Stations. Working closely with the station general
managers and the Talent teams, Crooks creates development programs
to grow future leaders within the organization. With years of experience
in mentoring and coaching talent, she also develops diversity and
inclusion strategies across all owned stations. In the fall of 2020, Crooks
worked on the stations’ five-part docuseries, “Our America: Living
While Black.” The multiplatform docuseries shared stories of
multigenerational Black families from across America navigating generations of systemic racism in
policing, healthcare, education, wealth, and housing disparities, while seeking to build stronger
communities and create a better life. 
Prior to this role, Crooks was an Executive Producer at WPVI. Her 30-year tenure at the station
included helping to recruit and mentor top-tier talent. 
She is a graduate of LaSalle University with a degree in communications.
