Melanie Burney

Melanie L. Burney is an award-winning journalist at The Philadelphia Inquirer based in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, where she has worked for more than 20 years. She began her career at the Courier-Post of Cherry and then worked for 14 years at the Associated Press before joining the Inquirer. She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and served two terms as Parliamentarian on the NABJ Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists.
