Sheeka Sanahori is Director of Video for Lonely Planet. She leads a team of producers, editors and freelancers from around the world who create editorial, marketing and commercial videos for the global travel brand. In 2019, Sheeka went to Kenya to produce a series of videos on animal conservation as part of the International Center for Journalists’ Bringing Home the World fellowship. She currently serves as a recurring professional development workshop instructor for VTV media professionals in Vietnam. Before joining Lonely Planet, Sheeka was Senior Producer of Video at USA Today. While there, she led a team of social and video producers creating content for four successful social video brands. Sheeka was a McCormick scholar at Northwestern University, where she earned her Master’s degree from Medill’s Media Strategy and Leadership program. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast News from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism.
