Virtual networking. To many these days, that phrase is dripping with doubt, obstacles, and lack of creativity. Virtual events can feel isolating and disconnected for attendees, and as an event facilitator it may seem daunting finding enticing ways to connect attendees to one another and encourage networking in a less familiar space.
But what’s the best way to curve design roadblocks? As we always like to say – co-creation! There are so many creative forms of networking for the virtual space (which are not only effective, but FUN) that have yet to be explored, and we know a large portion of them have yet to be brainstormed in the first place. That’s why we are teaming up with Amanda Kaiser at Kaiser Insights LLC to produce a Virtual Networking Incubator of community members committed to exploring creative virtual event design made for expanding attendee networks.
Our Virtual Networking Incubator consists of four basic steps: a journey you are invited to embark upon with us.
Step One: Want to add meaningful virtual networking to your online events?
If you’re still reading, chances are you’ve got this step in the bag. Networking is a vital aspect of any virtual event, but brainstorming ways to do so on your own isn’t easy. That’s where the community comes in.
Step Two: Apply to our Virtual Networking Incubator
The Virtual Networking Incubator will bring together a community of 100 associations to advance virtual networking, while also participating in fun and innovative networking through carefully selected platforms and methods. Step Three: Connect, co-create, & collaborate every 2 weeks
Our incubator community will meet bi-weekly to test new networking strategies, so you’ll be able to dip your toes into the water before deciding which strategies to bring to your own community. Together we will reinvent networking, dust off hesitations, and discover new ways to collaborate, connect, and co-create. At each gathering, you will investigate a unique form of networking engagement alongside other association professionals. Learning about virtual networking while also virtually networking at the same time? What better way to try it out, right?
Step Four: Increase member engagement by bringing networking tools & methods you have discovered back to your organization
Our goal is to ignite your curiosity, cultivate a generous community, and connect you with like-minded gardeners you have yet to meet! You’ll return from the Incubator with plenty of inspiration and creativity to confidently implement new ideas for virtual networking within your own community.
